On a road trip to Washington DC, I took an afternoon to visit St. Louis parish in Clarksville, MD. Glenmary's founder,
Fr. William Howard Bishop, served as pastor in Clarksville from 1917-1937. Upon leaving Clarksville, Fr. Bishop moved to Cincinnati at the invitation of Archbishop McNicholas in order to found the new Glenmary Community. But this chapel is where Fr. Bishop would have prayed regularly about his calling to start a new missionary community.
Fr. Bishop,
Pray for us.
