52nd WORLD DAY of PRAYER for VOCATIONS

The purpose of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations is to fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (Luke 10:2).
Pope Francis shared a wonderful message for the 52nd World day of Prayer for Vocations.
The complete text of his message for this day can be found on the Vatican Website.

This same day the Holy Father ordained 19 men to the priesthood. In his homily Pope Francis reminded these new priests that they "will share in the mission of Christ, the only Master." And that although they are being ordained, their studies are not done, he told them "Read and meditate assiduously on the Word of the Lord to believe what you read, teach what you have learned in faith, to live what you have taught." He also warned them not to preach "boring homilies" but ones that "touch peoples heart because they come from the heart."

The church is in need of more priests, brothers and sisters, especially in the mission areas. Let us pray always for an increase of vocations and of the highest quality to serve Mission Land USA.
