I am grateful to be able to share copies of The Glenmary Book of Prayer and to invite readers to pray with us. Our book of prayer is not new, but is an update to a previous edition. Glenmary’s Book of Prayer was originally published in 1946 and has been updated over the years. This edition includes more prayers written by Glenmary priests, brothers, sisters, as well as prayers that are closely associated with our mission ministry.
Fr. Bishop, Glenmary’s founder, wrote in his diary, “A prayer is not a creation of the mind but of the heart.” The prayers in this book are from the heart of Glenmary.
