Glenmary Students have traditionally gathered for Thanksgiving dinner for as long as anyone can remember. This year's gathering included philosophy students from Divine Word College, Brother candidates from Brescia University and University of Cincinnati, the theologians from St. Meinrad Seminary and the novices from their respective mission assignments. This is one of the few times of the year all the students are under the same roof and able to spend some quality time together.
A number of years ago Glenmary started inviting prospects to join in the festivities as well. That tradition has continued. After the turkey has been carved and most of the leftovers picked over, the students head back to their school work. The vocation prospects get an extra tour of nearby missions as part of a Come & See retreat. Today we will begin with a few talks by Glenmarians and then head out to visit nearby missions for the weekend. Please pray for all those men discerning their mission vocation.
What is a "Come & See" event? This link to the Glenmary Website, explains a little about these type of discernment retreats. Is God inviting you to Come & See the missions too?
