Last week Fr. Neil Pezzulo and I spent a fantastic week visiting with high school students in the Diocese of Salina, Kansas. Student assemblies at each school gave us the opportunity to share with the students Glenmary's commitment to serve in the Home Mission field and explain the tremendous need which still exists in the mission areas of our country. Combining mission education talks with vocation talks, we fielded a lot of great questions from the young men and women: "What do priests do all day?" "Why don't more people serve in the missions?" "How can I get involved?" "What is the difference between a priest and brother?" We are hoping that some of the young folks will come and join us in the missions someday. Thank you Salina for the invitation to visit and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
