“When we are really honest with ourselves we must admit our lives are all that really belong to us. So it is how we use our lives that determines the kind of men we are.”
On this anniversary of Cesar Chavez's death I share the review of the movie made about him and the farm-workers cause that I wrote two years ago. I highly recommend this movie, especially for those young men discerning their call to religious life. The movie captures the spirit of the man who was moved to dedicate his life to the cause of the farm-workers. His passion for justice, peace and dignity of all, is an example to us serving the people of God in Mission-Land USA. We are passionate about sharing the Good News and our Catholic faith in areas of the United States where there is currently no Catholic presence. We need a few "Cesar Chavez" types to join Glenmary and help us in serving the spiritual and material needs of the people living in the small towns and rural america. Contact us if you would like more information about Glenmary or to talk with someone about your possible call to become a missioner.
