I am in Plano, Texas for the National Religious Vocation Conference Convocation. This is the national gathering of Vocation Directors which occurs every two years. The theme for the 2012 NRVC Convocation is, "Vocation Ministers as Ambassadors for Christ: A Reconciling Presence." The role of a Vocation Director is to be an ambassador for his or her community, inviting, welcoming and connecting new members with the community and charism of the religious institute.
