Glenmary Farm

I spent an awesome weekend on The Glenmary Farm with a group of volunteers from the University of Dayton. While there, I was able to help out on a couple of the work-sites where they are building affordable housing for low-income families. I shared some good home cooked meals with the volunteers. Laughs and games were a huge part of The Farm experience! And each evening we gathered together in order share our prayers and reflections.
The Glenmary Farm is now 40 years old and still doing tremendous work in Lewis County, KY. People from all of the world have made a trip to Lewis County, made a difference in the lives of the people they have met and have made a difference in their own lives from the experience.
My questions for the day... Why only a week-long mission experience, why not sign up for a lifetime? Missionary priests, brothers and sisters needed all over the United States, all the time.
